In a shocking incident, 25-year-old state-level tennis player Radhika Yadav was reportedly shot dead by her own father at their residence in Sector 57, Gurugram, on Thursday morning. The tragic event occurred around 10:30 am on the first floor of the family home. Preliminary reports indicate that Radhika's father allegedly fired three bullets at her.
Radhika Yadav was immediately rushed to a private hospital in a critical condition but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries during treatment. According to the Gurugram Sector 56 police station in-charge, authorities received information from the hospital about the 25-year-old woman's death due to three bullet injuries. Upon visiting the scene, police confirmed that the father had fired the shots.
The motive behind the heinous act remains unclear as police have initiated an investigation into the matter. Radhika Yadav held an International Tennis Federation (ITF) doubles ranking of 113 and was known to be within the top 200 in ITF doubles. Born on March 23, 2000, her promising tennis career was cut short by this tragic domestic incident.
